Bijoya Dashami is being celebrated today...

At last there came the time of “Bisharjan”. The holy idols are to be immersed today, after five long days’ holy festival of Durga puja. Though some people were seen submerging their idols at about 2 pm, but massive processions started at the dusk of the day. The careful carrying of idols upto the Ghat, the dance with the tune of “Dhak”, the collection of weapons of Maa Durga as a Holy relic, amidst tight security was seen in the Ghats of the eminent rivers of Tripura.

HUGE CROWD was seen at Nabami night

People witnessed a huge crowd in the Puja pandals of Agartala on the night of Nabami.

Plan to visit Pandals, by a Copter ride...!!!!

A new Dimension in roaming Puja Pandals! The TRTC alongwith Pawan Hans Ltd. has launched a tour programme for the aged and children @ Rs. 500 and Rs. 400 respectively. The programme consists of a 10 minutes ride in a Helicopter over the City, covering many famous Puja pandals. Hundreds of people gathered at the TRTC to collect tickets for enjoying the ride. It started from today, i.e. on 3rd October. It will definitely become an added attraction for the tourists, visiting Tripura.

Afternoon charm at Pujo pandals

Surprisingly, Agartala attracted more crowd this year. Taking the pooortunity of Railway communication, people had gathered at the city to witness the major festival of the Bengalee people. At 3 pm, immense crowd was seen in the pandals, localites were less seen as they prefer to visit pandals late at night. A heavy crowd is expected tonight.

Immense crowd was seen in all the pandals throughout the night of Mahasaptami, amidst tight Security. People enjoyed a shower free night. The rain at last arrived at 4.30 am.
